A day after revealing -- via a screenshot of a text conversation with Drake -- that he had a project dropping this Friday (Aug. 5), 2 Chainz has shared the cover art to said mixtape: Daniel Son; Necklace Don. He shared the artwork in a series of nine Instagram posts, which, once seen together, reveal the full mixtape cover, showing a cartoon version of Tity Boi in front of a Japanese backdrop with Daniel Son; Necklace Don written in kung-fu-style letters.
Tity's convo with Drizzy strongly implied that the two of them will have a collaboration on Daniel Son; Necklace Don. Chainz also revealed that he had been in talks with Apple, suggesting that his new tape could premiere as an Apple Music exclusive. The project will be Chainz' third of the year, following January's Felt Like Cappin mixtape and March's ColleGrove, a joint album with Lil Wayne.
Daniel Son; Necklace Don will have another big release to compete with on Friday: Frank Ocean's first album in four years, Boys Don't Cry. Sure, Channel Orange was great and all, but going off the reliability that Tity Two Necklace has proven time and time again, I know which project I'll be listening to first.
